The Murph Challenge Day 7: Deb Gearhart

Day 7 of 31 is dedicated to a woman that has been through many battles in her life. She knows how to win a battle, but the fight ahead is her biggest one yet.

Deb is a breast cancer survivor and is currently fighting leukemia and lymphoma. Deb suffered a spinal stoke last week that has left her paralyzed from the waist down. She has regained slight movement, but has a giant uphill climb ahead.

“I will work hard and I know this is not a sprint but rather the most important marathon of my life.”

I’m always inspired by people like Deb. A person that has overcome cancer, overcome her son suffering a traumatic brain injury, overcome her daughter becoming free from addiction. To having to fight cancer again and now a stroke. All along never losing hope or faith knowing that God is beside her during every battle. Knowing that His plan and goodness has never wavered. Knowing that with God, all things are possible.

Today I’m dedicating this Murph Challenge to Deb Gearhart. A true warrior and fighter! If you could lift up a prayer for Deb for strength and healing it would be greatly appreciated. We are with you Deb, and so is God.

Day 7 of 31 Murph Challenge Time: 30:47

When I did the Murph Challenge for the first time I became hooked. Not because it was fun but because it was painful, challenging, and meaningful.

These 31 challenges are a dedication to a fighter, a warrior, a person battling that’s an everyday hero.

“The Murph Challenge is more than just a workout. It is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and allows us the opportunity to dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor, LT. Michael P. Murphy, a man who sacrificed everything he had for our freedom.”
