The Murph Challenge Day 5: SSG Jordan Gayles

“It doesn’t take a hero to order men to go into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle.”

Murph Day 5 of 31 is dedicated to my brother Jordan. He’s has faithfully served our country for 14 years and deployed to Afghanistan twice.

I saw firsthand how challenging that was for both Jordan and my sister Hannah. With two young kids at home and Jordan half way around the world, it’s hard to grasp all the emotions felt over his time away. His dedication, service, and sacrifice is something I’ll always be grateful for.

Thankfully, Jordan made it back safely from both tours, but not without losing brother’s in arms. Those losses take a mental toll on so many of the men and women coming home after serving our country.

Every Day We Fight is ready to help those individuals get connected in a health and wellness community.

I’m proud of my brother, SSG Jordan Gayles, and I’m honored to dedicate this Murph Challenge to him.

Day 5 of 31 Murph Time: 30:32

When I did the Murph Challenge for the first time I became hooked. Not because it was fun but because it was painful, challenging, and meaningful.

These 31 challenges are a dedication to a fighter, a warrior, a person battling that’s an everyday hero.

“The Murph Challenge is more than just a workout. It is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and allows us the opportunity to dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor, LT. Michael P. Murphy, a man who sacrificed everything he had for our freedom.”
