The Murph Challenge Day 4: Jean Dale

Have you ever met a person that is kind and genuine to everyone they interact with? A person who is always giving compliments and loving on people? Someone who sees the good in every day?

I’ve known Jean for years and she has always been that person. Love, kindness, and positivity radiates off of her. She’s a person that makes other people feel good. She’s taken hundreds of classes with me and always makes time to comes up to me after class to give me a compliment.

Jean beat cancer years ago and recently found out the cancer is back. She started chemo in the last few weeks, but she has not let that stop her from her regular boxing classes. Her true heart shows every time she comes in as she greets and checks in on others. Never complaining, never looking for sympathy, and never losing hope. Instead, she chooses to spread love, kindness, and gratitude.

Today’s Murph Challenge is dedicated to my friend Jean Dale. A person that makes me and everyone she meets want to be a better person. We need more Jean’s in this world.

One of Jean’s favorite quotes she lives by: “Be brave enough to be yourself.”

Day 4 of 31 Murph Time: 31:28

When I did the Murph Challenge for the first time I became hooked. Not because it was fun but because it was painful, challenging, and meaningful.

These 31 challenges are a dedication to a fighter, a warrior, a person battling that’s an everyday hero.

– Tate Wheeler

“The Murph Challenge is more than just a workout. It is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and allows us the opportunity to dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor, LT. Michael P. Murphy, a man who sacrificed everything he had for our freedom.”
