The Murph Challenge Day 3: Ryan VanWey

Day 3 of 31 Murph Challenge is dedicated to a man I met at his rock bottom. A depression that became so dark that he convinced himself his wife and 3 beautiful girls would be better off without him. Ryan was about to take his own life. Thankfully, God had other plans.

I witnessed Ryan build a new foundation brick by brick and day after day. I saw a man step into a renewed life. He walked different, he sounded different, he looked different. He laughed, smiled, and loved more. His commitment to his wife and girls poured out of him.

When you are battling the lowest lows of mental health it’s hard to see the light. Every Day We Fight is dedicated in bringing light to darkness and belief to doubt.

We don’t know what you are walking through but we know after witnessing what happened to Ryan, we know it can happen to you too.
His testimony is far from finished. It brought him from death to life. You’re reading this and it’s a sign that your testimony is not finished either. Your best is yet to come.

Today’s Murph is dedicated to my friend Ryan VanWey.

Day 3 of 31 Murph Time: 31:18

When I did the Murph Challenge for the first time I became hooked. Not because it was fun but because it was painful, challenging, and meaningful.

These 31 challenges are a dedication to a fighter, a warrior, a person battling that’s an everyday hero.

“The Murph Challenge is more than just a workout. It is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and allows us the opportunity to dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor, LT. Michael P. Murphy, a man who sacrificed everything he had for our freedom.”
