The Murph Challenge Day 24: Annie Cohoon

Day 24 of 31 is dedicated to Annie Cohoon. In the Spring of 2020, Annie was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Annie is a busy mom of three and the diagnosis came when she was juggling the uncertainty of Covid and distance learning. Her response, “I have seen how God has been orchestrating this for a very long time. He is still so, so good.”

Fast forward through months of chemotherapy, scans, doctor visits, radiation, and here are just a few things Annie was able to accomplish between that diagnosis and January of this year:

  • Completed a 5K Turkey Trot
  • She’s went from not being able to do 1 push up to now 23 push ups!
  • She’s gaining strength, the life is coming back in her eyes, and her smile just keeps getting bigger!

Good friend, Kaitlyn, says,

“It’s women like Annie. Who get the worst news at the worst time, and yet no matter what…continue to have hope, spread light, fight, and praise God in the fire. ”

Annie completed 30 radiation treatments in late January and is on schedule to complete a 24 week chemo treatment in August. Which happens to be perfect timing as she prepares to Ride for Roswell to help raise dollars to find a cure for cancer.

Every Day We Fight is honored to dedicate today’s Murph Challenge to Annie Cohoon. A fighter with faith, strength, and inspiration to all who know her. A woman that knows the best is yet to come because “God is preparing something amazing for us,” says Annie.

Day 24 Murph Challenge Time: 29:38

When I did the Murph Challenge for the first time I became hooked. Not because it was fun but because it was painful, challenging, and meaningful.

These 31 challenges are a dedication to a fighter, a warrior, a person battling that’s an everyday hero.

– Tate Wheeler

“The Murph Challenge is more than just a workout. It is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and allows us the opportunity to dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor, LT. Michael P. Murphy, a man who sacrificed everything he had for our freedom.”
